Rutherford County Mayor Joe Carr recently created a new breakfast series to spread awareness and gain support for the local charitable organizations in the community. Feed America First was honored to be chosen by Mayor Carr to be highlighted at this inaugural breakfast event on August 11, 2023.  “I happened to be over at Feed America First on a tour and saw they were going through a $1.9 million dollar building project and thought this would be an excellent way to raise awareness about the great work going on,” said Mayor Carr. "We believe hunger is a local problem, solved by neighbors helping neighbors. The stronger our Rutherford County network of awareness and supporters, the stronger we can be as an organization to end hunger right here in our own backyards. It takes all of us working together," said Mike Womack.

We are so grateful to the amazing group of people from our community who came out to learn more about our mission and support our cause. Thank you to Menu Maker Catering for our delicious breakfast, and to Dunkin' Donuts for donating the coffee.
